Any further info on MCI Command Handling Window?

I'm still dealing with this problem. It's frickin' annoying. No one on the web seems to know what causes it or how to fix it. I thought for a while, I had an idea, that it was related to standby or hybernate mode, but nope. I can't figure it out. Seems to be happening more frequently though. I have windows xp perfessional.
